Planning something delicious in Ibiza? Here is how we look after the information you share when asking about our services or arranging a booking.
1. Who is responsible for your information?
WELOVEXPERIENCE IBIZA GROUP SL, trading as The Ibiza Private Chef, is the data controller. Tax identification number: B70703491. Registered office: Camí Puig den Valls 2, 2º 2ª, 07800 Eivissa, Illes Balears, Spain.
For privacy enquiries and requests, email mail@theibizaprivatechef.com.
2. Information we receive
When you contact us through our website, email or an Instagram/Facebook enquiry form, we receive the details you provide: your name, email address, telephone number, preferred dates, group size, service location and information about your plans. Our business email is hosted by IONOS. Meta may prefill contact details from your profile; please check these before submitting.
Please do not send payment-card details or sensitive personal information in an initial enquiry. Information about children should be limited to the number of children attending; their names are not needed to prepare a quote.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use your details to respond to enquiries, check availability, discuss your requirements and prepare a personalised quote. For a potential booking you request, this processing is necessary to take steps before entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you book, we process the information needed to arrange and deliver your service on the same contractual basis.
We retain records required for accounting, tax and other legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Where necessary to handle or defend a legal claim, we rely on our legitimate interest in protecting our legal rights (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not send promotional emails. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a mailing list. Required fields are needed to respond or prepare your proposal; other information is voluntary. Without sufficient contact and service details, we may be unable to handle your request.
4. Who can access your information?
Authorised personnel and providers supporting our website, email and business administration may access information as needed for their functions. IONOS provides our website and email services. The chef and service team involved in your booking may receive the practical details needed to deliver it. We may disclose information to competent authorities when required by law.
Instagram and Facebook are operated by Meta, which also processes information under its own privacy policy. This notice concerns our use of the enquiry information we receive from those platforms.
5. International processing
Online platforms and their service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where a transfer is subject to the GDPR, it must be covered by an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as European Commission standard contractual clauses. You can contact us at the email above for information about safeguards applicable to your enquiry and how to obtain a copy. Provider information is also available in IONOS's privacy information and Meta's privacy policy.
6. How long we keep information
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted 12 months after the last substantive contact, unless a request, service discussion or dispute remains open. Booking information is kept as needed to provide the service. Records subject to legal retention duties are kept for the applicable statutory periods. Information needed for legal claims is restricted and retained for the relevant limitation period, then deleted.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Send requests to mail@theibizaprivatechef.com. If necessary, we may request proportionate information to verify your identity. You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency at www.aepd.es.
8. Website services and scope
Our website provider processes technical connection information to operate and secure the website. Third-party services, cookies and similar technologies may involve additional processing; the relevant information and choices depend on the services used. This notice specifically covers customer enquiries and bookings, including Meta lead forms. It does not cover job applications or authorise optional tracking.
9. Updates
We will update this notice when our enquiry and booking practices change. The revision date is shown above. If you have any questions, our team will be happy to help.
